Portraits

A street portrait's subject(s) do not leave home with an intent to have their portrait taken. Similarly, the street photographer usually has little time to identify a potential subject, request a quick pose, decide where to place the subject, and finally create the portrait.​

Nonetheless, it is often possible to depict a subject's character within a street portrait and even have a brief discussion about the day's upcoming plans.
